From the time I was born, I moved around a great deal with my family, including living in Europe for over 6 years. At 8 yrs old, I recall visiting Pompeii, Italy, seeing some of the spectacular mosaics still intact and was in awe. Since then, I've explored various forms of art and has found many that truly call to me, mosaics being one of my favorite mediums.

"My art is a reflection of emotions, senses on all levels. I strive to achieve that level for each piece I create. Art is the language that transcends all cultures and is beautiful, fun, inspiring and soothing. It's a common ground we all share and I delight in providing pieces that evoke more than the usual."

"A sense of humor is essential in life, Some of my pieces reflect that either directly or indirectly as a small reminder of what is truly important. For each person, however, they may see something different,which is great. As long as it has meaning to them, then my works have meaning and that makes me rejoice."

It is a delight to be working collaboratively with my older daughter, Charlee Mariah Fischer. She has a keen eye and a very strong artistic sense.
