Celtic Circles of Love by Mel Fischer

$0
Using Van Gogh glass, I created a Celtic knotwork design on a 15" lazy susan, cutting and fitting the pieces to form the overlapping circles. Please note that the design is my original interpretation of Celtic knotwork and is not from the Book of Kells.

The pattern I designed for this represents Love:

-The outer circle in black represents man/God.
-The silver inner circle represents woman/mankind.
-The overlapping circles that extend outward represent change and how each are intertwined with one another. The shading of the circles is deliberate, showing how each have their strengths and weaknesses and evolve over time. Having those overlapping circles extend beyond the piece is representative of the future and what it may hold.
-The background in blue represents the universe/eternity.

PLEASE NOTE: I do have this pattern saved on file and can recreate something similar as a commissioned piece. This design is best suited on something that is 10" in diameter or larger. It would make a great tabletop as well as a lazy susan.
